Hold me close
Regale me with carol
Not just any story,
One filled with peril.
Well once in time
A hawk did perch
Upon the trees
Forever in search.
No overindulgence
No waste or want
No selfish trait
Nor a worthless flaunt.
The hawk is conscious
Of what it consumes
For that excess weight
Its body assumes.
The minute assumption
Not to be taken light
For the most difficult life
Is that of flight.
It seems simple
But truth be said
Hunting all day
Can fill one with dread.
In the far past
We lived as the hawk
But now we emulate
A drawl dull flock.
We've become discontented
With the way we had endured
We're always drawing
The hide before it's cured.

hellbent
You're crossing your arms
With that look on your face
You're going to chase her
You think it's a race.
Your lips say you're happy
With just being friends
But your body is shaking
The heart never bends.
You're hellbent on truth
And a unique love
You always pray that someone
Is watching from above.
But that's not what pains you
It's being kept at bay
By every single woman
That ever comes your way.
With that look on your face
You're going to chase her
You think it's a race.
Your lips say you're happy
With just being friends
But your body is shaking
The heart never bends.
You're hellbent on truth
And a unique love
You always pray that someone
Is watching from above.
But that's not what pains you
It's being kept at bay
By every single woman
That ever comes your way.
Phlegm
You have no idea what your silence brings...
Deamons slowly slide in through my locked door
My inner cage rattles, wanting for more
My heart aches from death before
You've no idea what you have in store.
No no, I'm far from morally sane
How so? I'm a leech, I constantly drain
All except blood, I let that rain
Rain from the sky, so I can watch your pain.
I cough up phlegm and glare you way
So beware, for it may be your last day
I'm on your tail, I'm here to stay
You'd better start running and make no delay.
Once I pounce and catch you whole
I'll sniff your skin and clutch your soul
And soon my gash will take it's toll
For it is my heart from whom you stole.
Deamons slowly slide in through my locked door
My inner cage rattles, wanting for more
My heart aches from death before
You've no idea what you have in store.
No no, I'm far from morally sane
How so? I'm a leech, I constantly drain

June
As I sit, the winds vacantly swirl around me
Self directed thoughts and criticisms cross my mind,
lifted away by the winds every second
----------------------------------------------
Night falls and with it, my heart
I can't help but think of you,
winder who you've seduced this time.
Wish it was me...
---------------------------------------------
The warmth of dawn floods my body
Reaching my heart, opening and welcoming it
Light is love
The sun's rays bring with them joy for all.
---------------------------------------------
Exhausted
From nothing, I have no will
Was I sleeping at all?
Can't get my mind off of you
Exhausted.
---------------------------------------------
Wet morning, light breeze
No sun, guitar on my knees
I sit softly and hum, to find a tune
I've been at it all day, since half past noon
--------------------------------------------
Sun is out, yet clouds are dark
Children laugh and sing, playing in the park
Here I sit–observer in check
Still in love with Katie Keck
--------------------------------------------
Tears flood my face again
Set off by the rain I'm collapsed,
Broken, lying without dignity
The product of a hate-filled world
--------------------------------------------
Bright and early birdsong drift through the warm summer morning
Awake and alert, I lie alone.
Self directed thoughts and criticisms cross my mind,
lifted away by the winds every second
----------------------------------------------

winder who you've seduced this time.
