Dew

Queen of perfection and beauty
Oh Dawn, preceding Day
More intelligent and alluring
Than flowers in May.

Nymph of my life
Let me serenade you
With tales of wonder
And a field of dew.

Once I recall
Viewing your radiance
From an open field of life
With a glowing ambiance.

You arose from the horizon
Took my breath away
You smothered my melancholy
But you weren't here to stay.

You passed me by
And took my heart
But you continued you path
And it tore me apart.

Why, oh why
Did you entrance my soul?
For now
The moments without you are dull.

All I can do
Is long for your eye
And pray your return
So our love can let fly.

Lacking you

Lacking you
Like a stake to the heart
Paining, staining
A poisoned-tipped dart.

Your will, darker
Than your eyes
Drawing, calling
With seductive lies.

Your lips
Colder than a winter's night
Hinting, tinting
Just within my sight.

Your hair
Shimmering in the moonlight
Glowing, flowing
Has me high as a kite.

Your eyes
Trap me in your gaze
Snaring, flaring
An endless maze.

novia

Please, pipe down, my sweet
The time has come for counting sheep
I need you so and my heart does seep
I wish to lie beside you and sleep.

Shh, shh, it matters not
For the time has come for even the clock
To cast aside it's hands and smock
To pass the time without a thought.

Slow down, take a breath
If you say it all there'll be nothing left
We'll be thought bereft
We'll wait for death.

End the cycle, close your mind
They're all constructs of your design
Step forward, leave them behind
Change your life and end the grind.

Now you've quieted, hear me true
You're pristine, without mildew
You're intelligent, too
But dare I say, I'm in love with you?

dinero

I'm biting my lip waiting for an answer
I've just asked out the most beautiful dancer
I saw you one night working the late night shift
I sat, watched, and let my mind drift.

That was a month ago this day
Now you're in my mind to stay
I've been to see you twice a week
But now I've got the courage to speak.

This moment seems to last a year
And this paining silence is all I fear
You slowly shake your head and tell
That it was all a ruse for you to sell.

You've been abusing my open pocket
I've even delt you my mother's locket
You've taken all I've got to give
Soon you'll take my will to live...

I Hate

Even when faced with death I have never felt such pain.
A family who finds me a burden and no friends with whom to complain
Ejected, detested, dejected, rejected.
There is no cure for a pain in the heart.

Only time can save my lack of light
I hate the day and detest the night.
Babied adulthood brings me to tears
I've learnt nothing from all of my years.

A fractured society based on a lie
I can't do this. I don't want to.
Nothing about living seems worth it.
Death ends pain. Death ends pleasure.

Death ends all things, but is it worth it.
Sometimes I think so. The ease of death is one thing to be fond of.
No racing no working no hurting.
Just nothing, a purgatory of states.

If there were a place I could go where I would be welcome to die,
I would go.
Living in a home that has no love for me kills me each day.
Kills it. Kills my ambition, once I had some, now there is none.
Why? OH why did I lose it?

The cold reality of living was the downfall.
A college dropout with nowhere to go.

Poisonous Snake

You've cast out your line and I've taken your bait
I'm stuck on your hook but you continue to wait
You reel me in but then cast me back out
It's a painful jarring feeling of immense amount.

You pull me so close I can almost see your face
But then you see mine and you're filled with disgrace
Never could you be caught dead with someone like me
So you let your line loose and cast me back out to sea.

But you never let loose the hook in my heart
You reel me back in and it tears me apart
Whenever you're in need of a love-filled praise
You call on me so I can brighten your days.

But every time you pull in the slack from the line
You tell me you want me, you want to be mine
But as I draw near your familiar shape
You cast me out again like a poisonous snake.

Rising Sun

I try to avoid thoughts of you
They always lead to sorrow
I lie awake over things we've lost
Until the rising sun tomorrow.

It was odd that you'd done this
Maybe you were unfit
To lead the charge against us
Or are you done with it?

I hope you'll see the error in you ways
Hope you'll come running back
Open arms will be here to receive you
They've been waining in your lack.

You left me clueless for why you'd left
Why you ceased your share
But you must have your reasons,
Even if they left me worse for wear.

tool

I've made a mistake
I've done something dense
I've vaulted down onto
The wrong side of the fence.

What was I thinking?
Was I thinking at all?
I shouldn't have used you
As my little rag doll.

It's not really research
But I am kind of mad
Even now I am analyzing
Upon my sketchpad.

I wish I'd forgotten
My whole little rouse
But now your silence
Has given me the blues.

So soon since we connected
I've been a fool
I hope you can forgive me
For acting like such a tool.

Daisy

Friends again
-Yawn-
I long
For far more meaningful descriptions

I thought maybe you were like no other
But now I see
I See
Maybe that was your cover

Are you hiding?
Do you fear your feelings?
Have you had bad dealings?
Maybe your emotions for me ceased?

No matter, I'll survive
This isn't the first time
My head's been turned
By a Daisy with lime

I hope you'd say something
If it was my fault
Maybe I'M overcritical
Well, that's like wound and salt

Now the cold shoulder?
Never have you been cold to me
Maybe you're unwell?
Perhaps your right state would disagree

I hope I did nothing to offend you
Please forgive me if I did
I didn't mean to spring anything upon you
Alright, time to screw on my lid.

Chica

When first I caught
Your eyes in mine
I felt a shiver
Crawl up my spine.

My blood boiled
And my heart twitched
You mended the the seam
Which had never been stitched.

Your eyes were pristine
Your body, fine
Sharp as a blade
You knew I'd pine.

I had to look you up
Your name was Crystal
But I've never found someone
So irrisistable.

Now I know you
I'll never forget
How it felt to be close
I'm forever in your debt.

An innocent chat
A passive invite
A touch of seduction
A date without light.

Earth and Stone

Another swig and the bottle's gone
I'll be safe away
Away from cold reality,
Illusion's where I'll stay.

Another swig and the bottle's gone
My strings have lost their play
I'll be awake another night
To waste another day.

A broken E counts another month
That I've been all alone
With silence to accompany me
And only my heart to loan.

A broken E counts another month
I tune to find the tone
That will match the state of my simple life
Living on earth and stone.

I sit and play for anything
I've got nothing to lose
Only the clothes upon my back,
My guitar, my blue suede shoes.

I sit and play for anything
Planning my next ruse
To get a little extra dough
So I can buy more booze.

Night is back and I shiver alone
No one to share the pain
My mind races back and forth
Suffocating my brain.

Night is back and I shiver alone
Humming Penny Lane
Just to distract me from misery
Slowly driving me insane.

I reminisce of times with you
I shed another tear
Once we sat hand in hand,
Defiant of a doubtful seer.

I reminisce of times with you
But I was wrong to leer
Our fortune-teller never lied
I still love you, dear.

fear

You curl up again in the corner
You keep your eyes closed because you fear what you do not know.
You fear the thought of feeling something worse than what's running through your mind
But the unknown is so much larger and impressive than you could have ever thought.

If only you could see
But you keep your eyes closed
You keep your thoughts to yourself
You're locked up and only you have the key.

You consider the thought of being hurt
You quiver in pain
You consider the thought of affection
But without opening up, you can't feel a thing.

You end up tearing at your heart
You lie and breathe rapidly because of the pain you fear to let in
But in doing so, you've given rise to the real pain
The pain that arises from fear...
